What is Mindfulness?
I can only describe it as a yoga workout for your mind. It is about using your conscious mind by dealing with the ‘here and now’ in your wise calm self, not getting caught up in your emotional self, learning to take a step back, breathe, and see the bigger picture.
The Mindful Awakening ‘Stepping into your Power’ programme was originally created by myself at Core Harmony, Charlotte S, Mindfulness CBT Practitioner in 2015 from my experience of running psychological programmes over in New Zealand. It covers a variety of subjects, carefully selected to include an introduction and understanding of Mindfulness, followed by Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction, Mindfulness Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Positive Psychology — the art of Gratitude and kindness. It also includes a variety of Mindfulness Meditations in line with each Module.
Understand the 6 Steps to Mindfulness to master a new way of living. Create Awareness of Yourself and the World around You to be able to focus and appreciate what is in the ‘here’ and ‘now’. To see the world and experience things as though it is your first time. Take control of your life by understanding your limiting beliefs and negative thought processes that are holding you back!
The “Mindful Awakening” ‘Stepping into your Power” programme is offered to adults in a variety of ways; one-to-one private sessions, six-week group courses, two-day workshops for businesses, teachers in schools and other adult groups.
Mindfulness is a fantastic skill for all to learn as it can assist in dealing with and also removing anxiety, fear, and worries from day-to-day lives. Learning the art of Mindfulness and implementing Mindfulness Meditations into our lives can not only overcome these but can greatly increase focus and concentration within the workplace by understanding how to control what thoughts they acknowledge and what thoughts they can allow to pass by, without holding onto them.
The “Awakening your Mind” programme includes subjects such as Introduction to Mindfulness, Breaking away from Autopilot with the use of your conscious mind, Stress Reduction, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Positive Psychology — learning about Gratitude and Self-care.
